Cable stay bridges
|
The use of stays in the construction of bridges enables (forces to be compensated and the need for straightness to be reduced. This has a number of positive effects on the structure (such as reduction in deck thickness, improvement in dynamic stability, and reduction in construction time), thereby avoiding long spans and reducing costs.
Our experience and continua) development of these products makes TYCSA a world leader in high tensile strength steel for cable stay bridges.
TYCSA supplies two different types of solution:
- 7 wire steel strands, with various layers of corrosion protection. In the case of galvanised strands there may be up to three layers, with wax or grease and a high density polyethylene sheath.
- 7 mm galvanised wire, with tensile strengths of over 1,800 N/mm2.
